About the Forest

The New Forest itself has many beautifull placed to walk, cycle or drive. It is possible to walk into the forest right from the cottage.

The New Forest National Park area covers 566 km2 (219 sq miles) is home to Horses, Ponies, Donkys and cattle which can be regularly seen romaning within the forest. Be cautious when driving in the forest of animals on the roads.

During your stay we highly reccomend visiting the towns of Beaulieu, Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Lymington.

Beaulieu Motor Museum & Palace House

The motor museum has over 300 cars from Edwardian time to modern era, founded by Edward Douglas-Scott-Montagu in 1953.
There is plenty of entertaiment for all the family and the UKs first Monorail which passes though the interior of the mseum.
within the Motor Museum is Palace House built in the 13th century as a gate house to Beaulieu Abbey and was the ancestral home of the Montague family

Exbury Gardens

Exbury Gardens offer woodland walks and world famous displays of rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias. Art and sculpture exhibitions are regularly held. There is a miniature steam railway which follows a scenic route through parts of the gardens previously inaccessible to the public.
